Structure
Becomes Art

01

Concrete is more than a building material—it is a medium for expression. Its ability to be shaped, textured and sculpted allows architects and artisans to create surfaces that blur the line between structure and art

Material First.

02

Concrete offers structural integrity, thermal mass and architectural expression in a single material.

Used honestly.
Detailed precisely.
Built to last generations.

Vision to Reality.

At COAD88 Concrete, we transform ideas into enduring spaces through thoughtful design, premium materials and exceptional workmanship. Every stage of the journey is handled with precision, transparency and attention to detail, giving you confidence from the initial consultation through to the finished result.

Wall System Value Comparison

A standard Thermomass wall is generally around 310 mm thick. Our proposed wall is increased to approximately 360 mm thick, allowing for a larger insulation core and significantly improved thermal performance.

When compared with a conventional premium brick veneer wall, the difference is important.

A typical brick veneer wall with timber studs is approximately 250 mm thick. Our Thermomass concrete wall is approximately 360 mm thick — an increase of 110 mm, or about 44% more wall depth.

On a simple 20 metre long wall at 3.3 metres high, the wall area is 66 m².

That means the Thermomass wall gives you a much more substantial building envelope: more insulation, more concrete mass, greater acoustic separation, greater durability, better fire resistance, and a permanent architectural concrete finish.

Yes, the Thermomass wall costs more. However, it is not 44% more wall thickness for 44% more money in simple material terms. The additional cost buys far more than thickness — it buys a higher-performing wall system where structure, insulation, internal finish, external finish, thermal mass and long-term durability are combined into one wall.

A premium brick veneer wall is still a good conventional wall. But it remains a layered system: timber frame, insulation, wrap, cavity, brickwork, plasterboard, paint, trims and future maintenance.

The Thermomass wall is different. It is a permanent concrete envelope.

For a high-end home, the question is not simply, “Which wall is cheaper?”
The better question is:

“Which wall gives the best long-term value, comfort, durability and architectural result for the money invested?”

On that basis, the 360 mm Thermomass wall is the stronger long-term investment.
